Is there Political/Commercial Bias in the press? CIU 210.5

Theres is no way that the media cannot be bias. Media is always made by a person, no human on the planet is wholly neutral. For example, say i support team A and another lad supports team B, say team B win, my account and the other guys account would be completely different and bias each way.

Mainly, the easiest form of media bias to detect in in the press, in the papers...politics.

Different news outlets will report the same stories but in different lights, for example, outlets supporting the Clintons (in debates/elections) went unusually quiet after WikiLeaks had a blackout, WikiLeaks is a website where any private media that belongs to celebrities are posted, its also the home space where Hillary Clintons personal Emails were shared. These outlets said 'they had no time for scandals', The Bean's (New Mexico's Leading Paper) headline the day after the emails being released onto the web was 'Hillary hack, time to find the internet terrorist, whilst the LA Angel reported the story headlining it with 'The Clintons siding with Qatar' Both are about the email hacking but are both talking about it in completely different lights.

Talking about Qatar, everyone has heard about the conspiracy that Qatar bribed the Fifa commissioners to make the next World Cup in Qatar, now, the World Cup in Qatar; 1. isn't ready 2. would make Qatar very Wealthy, and it would evolve their personal image. The Arab World Magazine sold all over the world sold thee story as if it was good news and Qatar bought it fairly. Fifa also backed this up (which could effect anyone who follows Fifa and supports them, so in this case it wouldn't matter if the media was bias or not.

Last example i'll give is BREXIT, to me Brexit hasn't really effected me yet, but I know in the next couple of years it will. One of the biggest factors was the press reporting on the whole situation. Gritty magazines that usually report on who's broken up with who, who has the latest botox act, although these magazines seem useless when elections come around, big political figures can bend the articles to match what they want (mindless dummies, Rupert Murdoch 2010') to read and support him and his thoughts. Anyway Brexit (nice tangent), if you look at a topographical map to the uk, coincidentally the areas that voted to leave, is the same rough area of the majority of the sun buyers/readers, the sun belongs to Rupert Murdoch owner of the sun and supported of #team leave.
