L'Ardéche

The Gorges de l'Ardèche is made up of a series of gorges in the river and locally known as the "European Grand Canyon". Its located in the South of France and is known for its thirty kilometre river that runs throughout the gorge.

Its landscape was so beautiful I just had to take my drone up and fly it along the river, through stone natural bridges and over the river here many kayaks were sailing. The colours and the shapes of L'Ardeche makes it a hidden tourist attraction of the side of the town of Gàrd, a small paradise.

Orange Garage 86 Club Car Show

The Toyota 86, is known throughout Dubai as one of the more affordable sports cars, its fast take off speed and customisability has made it a favourite around Dubai.

I was lucky enough to be given the chance to help film the event held by Orange Garage Dubai, the film is a kind of promotion for the next years event.

The event features Toyota 86's its lots of different body modifications and engine sizes, electronic music and entertainment.

Life in the Pantry

This short video is the set and filming of a reification of the painting called 'life in the pantry' that was painted in France 1968 by Jeremy Plume.

The Pictures depicts a table with a small array of food on it. Myself and a small team of students worked to recreate the image, and shoot a short tracking shot of it on a mini jib.

The video shows the set-up of the scene as well as the scene itself.

Villa Beorchia Virtual Tour

Whilst staying in a villa in the South of France, I as offered a small job of making a virtual tour of the villa, which would be put of a website that allows future guests and visitors to see here they could stay before actually going there.

The video is all shot on a Phantom 3 Professional Drone, I used the drone as a makeshift stabiliser because showing jerky footage is unpleasing. The smooth camera path through and over thee house gives a more relaxing feel.

Omar Addis Oxygen Music Video

I was asked to shoot a music video as a project for part of my course. So after a long time thinking about what to make it on I decided to ask an old colleague if I could use one of his old songs from a couple of years ago, he agreed so we used oxygen.

I had never properly directed and wasn't planning to, but due to circumstances in the crew I had to take on the role, clearly I could've done better looking back on it, but it was an experience and I'm glad to of had the opportunity to try new things.

Drone Footage Mix

One of my favourite piece of camera technology I own is my drone, the way we can send our eyes over 300M into the air over any structure/landscape and create beautiful videos.

In the video I show my landscape videos in some of the countries I've visited, New Zealand, France, England and Dubai, not forgetting the quaint and stunning views of Cyprus, the city burst of colour is a relief to eyes, and the colour of the water is almost as beautiful as the lagoons of the Rhone region in France.

James Dixon in a Musician and innovative artist from Dubai. He's working and studying in Leeds, United Kingdom. He produces and creates his own style of Indie music.

This short documentary is about the struggles of independent musicians who have to make their way without funding or promotions.

Its about how he coped with his speaking impediment and how he recovers after a heavy surgery.
